The brainchild of Hong Kong based designer Edison Chen, the Air Max 1 x CLOT Kiss of Death GS marks a revival of the CLOT x Beaverton brand collaborative project that first debuted in 2006 in celebration of China’s first sneaker boutique. A sixteen-year absence from the spotlight has only intensified fans’ fondness for this particular shoe. Ideologically contrived with “Chi” the life force of traditional Chinese culture, central to both the shoes aesthetic and design philosophy. The shoe is presented with a clean beige upper, that acts as an appropriate canvas for presenting a series of ultra vibrant hues that has become synonymous with this shoe. Earthy soft orange tone and bold red accentuate two types of skin; ostrich and snake adorn this Air Max 1s finer details. All of which is followed by CLOT’s iconic logo embroidered on the shoe’s back section as a very definite seal of approval for this high profile design.
